Luxury Home Cinema Design in Udaipur
A home cinema is more than a home theater. It is an architectural room — lighting, acoustics, seating, finishes and technology designed as one experience. EVORA designs private cinemas for Udaipur villas, farmhouses and heritage homes.
Concept visualizationHome theater or home cinema — what's the difference?
A home theater can be a TV and a sound system in a living room. A home cinema is a dedicated, light-controlled room built for the film: the walls are acoustic surfaces, the ceiling is designed, the seats are placed for sightlines and sound, and every light, curtain and screen is controlled together. That is the space EVORA designs.
Designed like a room, not a rack of equipment
- Architecture: wall panelling in acoustic fabric, wood or leather; pilasters with concealed lighting; ceiling coffers, wood slats or a fibre-optic star ceiling.
- Seating: powered cinema recliners or lounge sofas on risers so every seat has a clear view.
- Picture: a projector and screen sized to your seating distance — often 110–150 inches in larger rooms.
- Sound: immersive layouts with hidden in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, tuned to the room.
- Control: one-touch scenes that dim lights, open curtains and start the film.
Styles we design
Classic cinema — burgundy or wine walls, patterned carpet, brass accents and theatre-style curtains. Modern cinema — charcoal and black fabric, linear lighting and minimal detailing. Wooden cinema — warm timber slats and walnut tones, ideal for Udaipur's heritage-inspired interiors. Star-ceiling lounge — deep navy or black with a twinkling sky overhead. Why interior design and acoustics must be planned together
In a cinema, the finishes are the acoustics. Fabric-wrapped absorbers, diffusers disguised as decorative wood, bass traps inside corner columns and an acoustic ceiling all shape the sound. Designing interiors first and adding acoustics later usually means compromising both. EVORA coordinates the look and the performance from the first drawing.
For villas, farmhouses, heritage homes and hospitality
Udaipur has a special mix of properties — lake-view villas, farmhouses towards Badi and Nathdwara Road, restored havelis and boutique hotels. Thick stone walls can help isolation, while high ceilings allow dramatic star ceilings and height speakers. We adapt the cinema to each building's character.
